How To Make Sausage Wraps

Making these breakfast sausage wraps with eggs and cheese is super easy. Let me walk you through the simple process

Scramble Eggs

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until even in color (should be a pale yellow). Reserve 2 tablespoons of the eggs and set aside for later.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter. Stir in the whisked eggs and let cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are no longer runny. Remove from heat.

Gently push the eggs to release the bottom layer of cooked eggs from the pan.

Cook Sausage Links

The sausage links should be cooked prior to baking, because the roll ups are not baked long enough to cook them.

You could either purchase the pre-cooked sausage links or use raw links and cook them ahead of time. Using the air fryer is a no-fuss method that works perfectly!

Assemble Breakfast Roll Ups

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate them into triangles.

Top each triangle with half a slice of cheddar cheese, a spoonful of scrambled eggs and 1 sausage link.

Loosely roll up the triangles into a crescent roll shape and place on an baking sheet.

Brush Tops with Egg

Using the reserved whisked eggs, brush the tops of the unbaked roll ups and season with salt and pepper.

The egg wash will give the roll ups a nice golden brown color when baked.

Bake Till Golden

Pop the tray of sausage, egg and cheese breakfast roll ups in a 350 degree oven and bake for about 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown.

Make Ahead and Storage

These breakfast roll ups are a great make ahead breakfast. Simply bake, cool and then wrap individually and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

You can also freeze these individually for up to 3 months.

Reheat in the microwave from frozen, crisp up in a toaster oven or air fryer if desired.

These were really good. I used the Banquet pre cooked sausage links. I warmed them in a skillet prior to putting them in the crescent rolls. Even our picky teenager loved these.

This is the first recipe I’ve tried on your site. It’s a keeper. I try to make a new recipe per instructions, then next time maybe tweak it. Because the scrambled eggs were a little “fall out messy”, I now make these roll-ups with solid cooked beaten eggs. They’re a nice addition to our family breakfast favorites.

I love your recipes, But with so many popups on the page, I can’t even read your content?? I’m sure that others are having the same problem? Don’t know what you can do about it? But I can’t even wright message in peace! Thanks anyway.

These are fantastic! I made a batch to have as breakfast so I don’t need to cook before going to work in the morning. Definitely holding on to this recipe!

  5. How do you get 1 carb per serving? I looked up the nutrition facts and it says 12 carbs pro Pillsbury crescent dinner roll.

Instead of scrambling the eggs, I make a slab of eggs and cut to size, makes rolling up so much easier.

    1. I was wondering the same. I’m going to cook them about 1/2 way first cook them then roll them in the croissants to bake.
